The ALTCS applicant, or their legal representative, decides where they wish to reside. The only requirement is that at the time of application for ALTCS benefits, the applicant is required to reside in a participating ALTCS living arrangement (“ALTCS approved facility”), or receive care services from a provider who contracts with ALTCS.
ALTCS can provide financial assistance for persons in group homes, assisted living residences, skilled nursing facilities, or provide home health for persons residing in their own home.
