Letty Segovia, Esq.

Letty Segovia is a seasoned attorney at Bivens & Associates whose practice is rooted in
courtroom advocacy and the nuanced arena of guardianship and conservatorship law. With 20
years of legal experience, she has established an excellent reputation for handling complex
matters involving vulnerable adults and their financial affairs.

Letty concentrates her practice on adult guardianships and conservatorships, but also handles minor conservatorships, estate planning, probate, and trust administration. For many years, she served as court-appointed counsel in Maricopa County Superior Court, representing wards,
proposed wards and protected persons in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings. This courtroom exposure gives her unique insight into both sides of guardianship disputes—as a petitioner’s attorney and as counsel protecting the rights of proposed wards—enabling her to anticipate challenges, manage contested proceedings, and seek the least restrictive outcome possible.

Letty earned her law degree from Arizona State University’s College of Law and her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University, with a major in Justice Studies and a minor in Spanish. She is a proud Arizona native and bilingual in English and Cantonese Chinese with an understanding of the Spanish language.

Letty approaches each case with a solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to preserving dignity and autonomy. She seeks to resolve disputes through mediation where feasible but is fully prepared to litigate aggressively when necessary to protect her clients’ interests. Her extensive courtroom experience allows her to navigate complex guardianship and conservatorship hearings, accountings, and fiduciary disputes with confidence. Known for her calm professionalism and strong advocacy, Letty is especially skilled at navigating complex family dynamics and protecting the rights of vulnerable adults.

Letty is fluent in English and Cantonese Chinese with an understanding of the Spanish language. Outside the courtroom, Letty enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and staying active in civic and legal education efforts.
